I love all animals, but dogs, by far, are my favourite. This morning I was talking to a friend who isn’t a big fan and I’ve got to say, I’m a little puzzled.
I find it hard to understand how a person can walk by a cute, fluffy, four-legged being and not feel all ‘Aw shucks’ inside. I can’t help myself.
Shortly after I left my friend, I was walking to the subway and met a woman with a puppy named Hutley. Huge paws, tiny legs, and fuzzy ‘wind tunnel’ fur. The best part: Hutley was a leaner. My knee, his nonchalant lean, I knew it was going to be an awesome day.
Non-dog-lovers everywhere, trust me, if you meet Hutley, you might reconsider your stance. If the big-paws-tiny-body combination doesn’t get you, the lean has a good shot. Oh, I know you’ll try to resist with your ‘I mean he’s alright for a dog’ kind of attitude, but Hutley is no fool. He’ll wear you down. Consider yourselves forewarned. It’s what leaners do.
